London's biggest club

Are Chelsea now a bigger club than Arsenal with the addition of a second European Cup?

Or are Arsenal still the biggest side in London with double digits titles and FA cups...

It's a close call now.

One thing for certain is that both clubs are way in front of Spurs and both have been since late 90s when we started Winning trophies regularly 97, 98

Chelsea couldn't even sell all their tickets for the Champions League final.

Chelsea only started winning the big trophys in 2005 due to their Oil money, take that out of the Equation and they'd be bang average!!!

One of the easier (albeit not necessarily accurate) ways to gauge size of fanbase is social media.

On Twitter, Arsenal have 17.5m followers. Chelsea have 17.1m followers. So we are slightly ahead on that front.

On Facebook, Chelsea have 49m followers, Arsenal have 38m followers. So they're quite comfortably ahead on that front.

On Instagram, Chelsea have 27.4m followers, Arsenal have 19.4 followers. Again, quite comfortably ahead of us.

On TikTok, Chelsea have 3.3m followers, Arsenal have 1m followers. So they're ahead of us there too.

Perhaps in the UK, we have a larger fanbase, but globally? They've eclipsed us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think this just shows that Chelsea have a younger fan base, linked to when they started winning things. I'm not on any of those platforms.

Arsenal have 2898 pages of articles on JA606.
Chelsea have 1732 articles.

Absolutely, and I do accept this.

But ultimately, in the digitised world we live in now where social media is indisputably becoming more prominent, we can't ignore that their larger fanbase can and likely has been reflected in their rise on social media platforms.

As I said, if they haven't overtaken us yet globally, it's only a matter of time before they do.

Their fan base is smaller
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Baku final they outnumbered us about 5 to 1...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So? A one off game. Doesn’t hold much merit when talking about global fan bases
