So UEFA have confirmed that the away goals rule in Europe has been scrapped for the start of the 21/22 season

How do we feel about it?
Personally....I'm not happy about it one bit.
The argument they are trying to put forward is that the significance of home advantage is not what it once was.....and the rule is in some way stopping teams from attacking in their home leg, due to the fear of conceding an away goal.
While I take some of those points, I think UEFA are vastly under estimating what a home tie can do for a team, and there are many examples of teams around Europe that are far stronger at home than they are away.
But what's irking me most about this, is the fact that I see this as something the bigger clubs wanted to scrap. I am 99% certain that smaller teams benefitted far more from the away goals rule than the big teams did, and with all this ESL stuff and the big teams demanding more and more out of UEFA, that's the only bloody reason why this decision has been made, as the rule had been in place and was working perfectly well in my opinion, for over 50 years.
Thoughts?
Away Goals Rule Scrapped

In Europe, teams should be rewarded for keeping clean sheets as much as they should be for scoring goals....scrapping the away goals rule makes a mockery of that in my opinion.

I'd be surprised if the likes of Pep and Klopp are happy about this: mainly because it increases the likelihood of extra time which isn't going to help a packed fixture list any.

Seems a lot of money for him tbh
and Man City don't need any more English players they already bottle it in the cup they want the most

The away goals scenario brought something different to the games
Tactics need to adapt to that which meant another dimension to influence the game
The reasoning about it creating home defensive play may be true to an extent but is defending not an important part of the game
