Neco Williams £10m

Whichever of Wolves, Villa, Newcastle or Leeds pay this for Williams would have definitely mugged themselves.

Liverpool have done well selling players who end up being no good. Brewster (£23m), Solanke(£20m), Ibe(£15m), Ward (Wales first choice keeper and cost Leicester £12m to warm their bench) and Ki-Jana Hoever (£10m). Seeing how big a flop all these guys were, you'd have to be wary of buying "up and coming talent" from Liverpool.

But whoever Liverpool have dealing with sales deserves a rise.

Can Hoever really be classed as a flop?

He is still only 19, liked by all Wolves fans and seen as an excellent prospect for the future with us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's whether he can either a) grow b) fully convert to a RB c) find a place as a 3rd cb

Yeah bit early to be trashing Hoever yet

He doesn't necessarily have to grow. He's taller than Cannavaro, Puyol, Baresi, Mascherano etc. All did fine as centre backs. He is the same height as Frank De Boer, Nathan Ake, David Alaba, Jules Kounde etc. As long as he has a good jump, balance and anticipation; there is no reason why his height should be a barrier.

He as played right back for us mostly anyway. Not sure he needs to 'fully convert', as it seems a natural position with his pace.

He could improve and take over from Semedo, who I don't rate as a top RB (good but not top level). Or he maybe just be a young back up player before being sold on.

Wolves are linked to buying Williams, so begs the question if they have faith in both of these at RB why go for another RB? It could just be rumours as Williams is linked with 3 other clubs. Personally, I don't see any reason for wolves to go for him as Semedo is a much better RB than Williams.

It was only the season before we sold him that Klopp tried him at RB.

I think his height is an issue for a cb personally but I am a big fan and was sad to see him go.

Hoevers a baller, brewster neco solanke etc can still make it. Vardy was at fleetwood in league 2 when he was how old?

dno why theyre written off, Ibe struggled hard and went through some personal issues suffered with depression i think. But theres even still time for him. Robertson is another example.

Hoevers passing is unreal. Super crisp. Guys a real talent and is still a kid. Only a clown would write off a player that young, especially when he has been getting games since he was 16/17, which few do, let alone defenders.

Way better than neco imo. Was a loss for Liverpool but shows the difference between Liverpool and city/Chelsea etc. They'd never sell a young prospect cos they had to do so to buy other players.

It seems harsh on a youngster but hes just not very good. Theres a reason why trent continuously played last season even when his form was poor.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There’s a reason that Williams couldn’t get past Trent even when he wasn’t at his best and that’s because Neco isn’t good enough!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think thats what I said 😂

Neco Williams is worth about 1.5-2 million max. Hope Leeds stay well clear of paying anything like what Liverpool want. At that price Ayling must be worth 30-40 million.
