Another confirmed signing.
Pleased with the business we have done so far already this season without spending any money.
We obviously signed Wright, Simpson, Ofoborh and Sakala already on pre contracts whilst managing to get 2 of those in early. To now get someone of Lundstrum's experience added to that on paper represents good business in a position we needed to strengthen.
I'd still imagine us to sign one or two but might depend on those going out. We probably need to sell one of our big players and hopefully we can use any money to backfill.
At the moment though we're pretty well stocked if the season was to start tomorrow. We have plenty centre backs, good cover across the full backs and goalkeeper areas and we're not short in the position just behind the strikers. If Morelos stays we're good up top and have decent cover now in midfield, although that potentially becomes a problem area depending on how many games Davis, Jack and Arfield can play as well as what happens with Kamara.
First pre season game tonight but at the moment this looks on paper to be the best position we have been going in to a season for over ten years in terms of squad depth and quality.

What I like about this signing is the fact that I had never heard of the guy untill this morning on here, then a couple of hours later he's signed. How business is done

Amazed some of you seem to think this has come out of nowhere though ... you tried to sign him in the last 2 transfer windows as well, which was in the media for weeks on both occasions. Got your man in the end though.

To be fair there is only one person on here who hadnt heard about this.
He was one who excited us in his first season in the prem when he was linked.
Last season the whole team performed poorly and he had obviously signalled his intent to leave so its not a huge surprise he didnt have his best season.
Hopefully playing for SG and the wonderful club that is Glasgow Rangers will help him rediscover his form.
Hopefully he will bring that bit of bite that Brown brought to your midfield but with the added bonus of good footballing ability.
