Your favourite football commentary moments.

As an England supporter, the most obvious (and I heard it live as a 9 year old) is Kenneth Wolstenholme with "And here comes Hurst! He's got..
Some people are on the pitch! They think it's all over! It is now, it's four!"

The second, and hugely annoying as I heard it live is Bjorge Lillelien with "We are best in the world! We have beaten England! England, birthplace of giants" Lord Nelson, Lord Beaverbrook, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Anthony Eden, Clement Attlee, Henry Cooper, Lady Diana, we have beaten them all, we have beaten them all!. Maggie Thatcher, can you hear me? Maggie Thatcher ... your boys took a hell of a beating! Your boys took a hell of a beating!"

What would you like to hear tomorrow night? For me, " Kalvin Phillips makes it 4-0 to England with two minutes of injury time left...Football's not coming home, It already is!"

"Thomas charging through the midfield. Thomas, its up for grabs now. THOMAS! Right at the end. An unbelievable climax to the league season. Well into injury time, the Liverpool players are down, absolutely abject. Aldridge is down, Barnes is down. Dalglish just stands there. Nicol is on his knees, McMahons on his knees. Suddenly it was Michael Thomas bursting through..."

When Man United equalised in the 1999 Champions League final Clive Tyldesley just said "name on the trophy", as if it was obvious what was going to happen next even though Bayern had dominated much of the game. Not the most famous piece of commentary, even in the same game, but one that's always stuck with me.

Best I ever heard was during one of the world cups when Ronaldinho came on as a sub "I see he uses the same dentist as Ronaldo" Gary Lineker
