The Euros are over. It is also enough time to get over my disappointment in our loss in the Europa.
Anyways to the season in front of us, the addition of Sancho is good (I have reservations but he improves us). Everyone is raving about possibly signing Varane and how with just that Ole will be on the hot seat. We cannot forget our greatest point of weakness is our midfield. Fred and Mctominay are our best pairing and remain woefully unsuitable. We need defensive reliability as well as creativity through the middle, someone who can run with the ball out of traps and start counter attacks.
We will always fail at the last hurdle without at least 2 good midfielders being brought in. I firmly believe our priority should be there.

I had suggested Rice a while back but from watching him in the Euro’s I just think he’s a slightly better version of McTominay.

He really isn’t much of an up grade.

Again I will repeat I think we are getting a good player who definitely makes us better. However I dont think we are getting a world beater than some think he is.

You keep repeating it but other than the fact the German league isn’t strong in your opinion you’ve not really said why you think it.
I’m not sure, as I’ve not watched Dortmund anywhere near enough to know.
