So the latest in the media is that Varane and Trippier will be coming for £68m (50m + 18m respectively)
They also seem to suggest KT is coming so AWB can become part of a back 3 with slab and varane
If that second part is true and we are going that back 3 with KT and LS as wingbacks does that mean a 3 central midfield and 2 attackers?
Bruno Fred/mct pogba
Then I guess cavani/sancho/rashford/Greenwood/martial
Seems an odd mover to sign a sancho then go 2 up top and wingbacks
£68m double deal

We’re already low on quality reliable CBs so moving to a system that requires even more of them just seems stupid.

not really, if those rumours are true you could use 3 of
Maguire
Varane
Lindeolf
Bailly
Shaw
AWB

Decent option to have, and if those numbers are anywhere near accurate, 20m is reasonably priced

When you have a £54m 4B already, plus Williams and Dalot.
I can't see it.

Trippier would be a great signing. For the majority of games, when we are on top and need creativity from the right, AWB is pretty disappointing. Trippier will add a dimension to our attack. For the games we’ll need to take a more cautious approach to we can put AWB in.

Havent we just signed Sancho to give us a new dimension ?

Trippier is a better crosser and set piece taker than Sancho. Sancho will certainly bring something to our play but that doesn’t mean we don’t need a RB who can more consistently deliver a final ball.

Aaron wan Bissaka is the best right back in the country and only 23 years old. But he's a mediocre right wing back because his attacking game let's him down. It's what cost him a place in the euros squad ( & ultimately leading to him deciding to play for Congo out of frustration at being overlooked).
Trippier is 31 and a brilliant right wing back. AWB is the future, Trippier is the very good short term option to help Aaron develop into the player management believe he can.

Jadon is going to play behind a front 2 in a free role.
