Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire are on it.
Congrats to both of them. Well deserved .
But somehow Patrik Schick didn't make this team. A bit surprised to be honest. I thought he and especially Federico Chiesa were my two favourite players to watch at the tournament.
That Chiesa guy , my lord , what a player! Didn't know much about him before this tournament but he certainly caught my attention.

surely Ronaldo shud b in?
he was top scorer after all
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He is
At least on the list I'm referring to. You'd think there'd be just one official UEFA team of the tournament but reading these comments above I gather there's different best XI sides for this tournament

Shaw wasn’t on it, though he should have been. Case to be made for the entire back four being the England team’s.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thankfully, most balanced analysts of the game look beyond stats and recognise that back 4s can be made to look good by utilising ultra defensive team formations.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Indeed. England also played a back 5 more than they played a 4. That plus 2 out and out holding mids in every game, and playing for a manager without an attacking bone in his body, kinda makes it easier to rack up clean sheets.
At the business end of the tournament, Italy’s defence also had to play Belgium, Spain and England at a packed Wembley. England defended well, but let’s not kid on they didn’t have quite a lot in their favour to achieve that.

Precisely this. Easy to look defensively solid when you are petrified of losing and play 7 defensive players in your line up. Brighton manage to do well defensively yet play expansive attacking football.

We had you for a while, you looked worried. Then you started to play and that was that. Future is bright for both nations.
