Champions League Qualifying Draw

Draw Completed.

Champions League:
Rangers v Malmö (SWE) v HJK Helsinki (FIN)
Celtic / FC Midgets (DEN) v PSV Eindhoven (NED) / Galatasaray (TUR)

Europa League:
Celtic / FC Midgets (DEN) v FK Jablonec (CZE)
St Johnstone v PSV Eindhoven (NED) / Galatasaray (TUR)

Conference League:
Hibernian v Gzira United (MLT) / Rijeka (CRO)
Aberdeen / BK Hacken (SWE) v Rapid Vienna (AUT) / Breidablik (ICE)

Draw for the next rounds begins at 11am.

Celtic have the midgets to beat then will face :

Genk (BEL)
PSV Eindhoven (NED) / Galatasaray (TUR)
Spartak Moskva (RUS)
Rapid Wien (AUT) / Sparta Praha (CZE)

Celtic will also enter the Europa League third round qualifying draw, which they will compete in if they lose to the midget diddies.

Rangers will face the winner of one of the following ties:

Malmö (SWE) v HJK Helsinki (FIN)
Alashkert (ARM) v Sheriff Tiraspol (MDA)
Ferencváros (HU) v Žalgiris Vilnius (LTU)

For us i would hope to go through against any of those teams but if i could cherry pick it would be the winner of Alashkert v Sheriff Tiraspol. Malmo probably the toughest or Ferencvaros?

Celtic once they pump the daft wee midgets would probably fancy Genk. Spartak Moscow and PSV being the teams to avoid.

Who would you fancy?

Rangers have confirmed we will have 8,500 at the friendly with Brighton on Saturday and 12,750 on Sunday for Real Madrid.

For the Livi game we have been allowed 17,000 and have an expectation of a full house for the Malmo game on 10th August.

Encouraging as I was sceptical we would get past the 2000 mark for a while. Not sure on the science of 8,500 on Saturday and 12,750 on Sunday but maybe it's to act as a tester. Also not sure on that basis why Celtic only got 9,000 tonight in a competitive game, would have thought they could get same as we are getting for Real Madrid at least. Maybe the idea is that a friendly means less singing, shouting etc.

I gave up trying to find any kind of consistent logic in all of this ages ago.

Its good that the crowds are being allowed back in though. Fingers crossed it all goes well.

Utter fwcking nonsense that

What do they know right now will happen between the games that gives them confidence that the gap between them is sufficient to let in 50% more fans?

It’s almost like they want us to all believe a pre ordained drip feed has been scientifically thought out and rationalised.

They either believe 8,500 is “safe” just now and should stick with that until evidence gives them more confidence or they believe 12,750 is right in which case why wait?

Yes there will be more vaccinations carried out but will they be attendees at the game?

Utter farce.

i'd say they made a tactical decision not to allow more fans for rangers v brighton friendly than they allowed for a champs league qualifier.

Bears spend half their lives in Brighton. Clubbing while telling their wives they’re on ‘business trips’.

It’s disgusting really.
