I still can't warm to this player after 3 years.I don't see any aspect of his game that merits him a place in the team. I find myself thinking "No don't pass to Fred". He tries hard enough, maybe too hard sometimes. It's as if there is a lack of communication between his head and his feet which there shouldn't as at 5'7"" they are not that far apart.
He was dire in his first season and admittedly has improved slightly but still not up to the level of what I expect from a United player.
Two years left on his contract with options for a third. No thanks. Get what we can for him now. There are teams where he could flourish and be a regular starter which would surely be better for him.
Am I being too harsh?
Any thoughts on this?

If there's a 50m player with less natural ability on the planet i'm yet to see him.
No faulting his effort and he's had some good games but he's a bottom end PL player.

this amused me at least.
but for me, not really good enough to be anything other than a squad player, and there is a reason why last summer the strongest transfer links for him were to clubs in turkey.
