Hi Dubs. Thanks for this, may just watch on Saturday although guess it will be a depleted team.
Good to hear from you, expect you're struggling in the heat.
Surprisingly quiet on here given the rumours swirling around.
I've been pondering: will we start the season with Tilly and Madds and maybe Albrighton still on the books? Is Rodgers thinking the current core squad has gone as far as it can and different players are needed to finally crack the top four?
Thoughts anyone?

Cheers Dubs. Glad you're bearing up!
As regards Bowstring's observations, it will be interesting to see (a) who leaves, if anyone and (b) who else is coming in. Some of the chat about Tielemans going to Liverpool seems to have died down a bit and he is reportedly discussing a new contract and tripling his pay cheque. Slightly concerned by the suggestion that we might be after Henderson. Bit of a sideways/backwards merchant and a fair bit older than what we usually look for.
The current gossip seems to revolve around Maddison to Arsenal. They're going to have to stump up about £70m and not sure they can afford that. Definitely unimpressed by the suggestion that they might throw in x fringe players as makeweights; if they can't get into Arsenal's team they aren't up to much
Coutinho seems to have gone a bit quiet. Barcelona definitely want him off the books to be able to ratify Messi's new contract and register Aguero. He could replace Maddison.
Or BR might consider Dewsbury-Hall is ready to make the step-up. Or perhaps Praet will get to feature more.
The next centre back to come in should be an interesting one.
Entertaining times.
Enjoy the rest of the close season. OTW LCFC Prediction League will be up and running again soon!

I'll throw in my usual reality check here - 40 points is the first priority!
I like the Henderson story - not because I am keen to to see him in a Leicester shirt, but because people are talking about him stepping down from Liverpool to us - shows how far we've come!
I'm not bothered about who we've got in, little to complain about Rudkin these days, although that could change of course (will Daka succeed, no CB yet, no winger yet). This window we seem to have got some interesting acquisitions and not lost anybody yet - so far so good. I certainly don't like the idea of getting a load of Arsenal cast-offs. Is Coutinho a realistic buy, I don't want to see our wage structure being trashed for a marquee signing in a desperate attempt to breach top 4? Terrific player though and I was a little surprised when I checked to find he's only just turned 29, so doesn't fall into the too old category.
Talking about acquisitions, I see there are rumours about this morning that 'H' is off to Man City for a staggering £160M - that for a guy who turns 28 next week. Still, he may well be around for a while at the top level as pace isn't his greatest attribute. That move would probably make it more likely that Man City beat us, but improve our chances against Spurs, so on balance, possibly positive. It doesn't lessen the propsects of seeing Harry wheeling away in triumph as Kasper picks the ball out of his net - again!
Great to hear from Dubs and I like that OWF is already planning next season's predictions League.

I quite like the idea of Henderson joining us. He's a leader and knows what it takes to win matches and competitions. He may not always provide the defence-splitting passes to win games, but he helps not to lose them and does seem to be able to help control a game (generally) albeit when playing for Liverpool, who control most games.
I don't overly mind if Maddison goes to Arsenal. I'd rather they just stump up the cash though. The only player I'd take from Arsenal is Saka (who they won't exchange) and he would solve our winger problem on the right. Also Saka and Daka has a nice ring to it.
Coutinho seems unrealistic, given his wage demands. Great player when fit and on form, but will he be a justifiable expense? He's a match winner, no doubt. Would probably work well with Henderson too.
Dan James chat has gone quiet too. Again, I can't see Man Utd strengthening a rival, but he may say he wants to leave to get first team football. Who knows. Also Matteus Pereira from WBA is an option (and also Danjuma from B'mouth and Leon Bailey from Leverkusen have been touted). Hopefully we sign someone in right wing position!
I think Praet will go (not enough pitch time when fit last season) and I hope Choudhury goes. A liability and not helping the team push for top 4. KDH should fill in for him easily. I also kind of hope Perez can be offloaded (maybe if we go all out for Coutinho and a winger...) that would be a fantastic window if all that comes off!
No idea who we might end up with a CB, if anyone. Kabak has gone quiet, albeit a good signing for not much money as a squad player.
As OWF says - it could be an entertaining few months ahead! When does the window close?

Transfer window closes (or in tabloid vernacular slams shut) at 11pm on August 31st.
Re prediction league, new A4 book already prepared, August fixtures entered and spreadsheets set up! Tempted to get an early start with the Community Shield game and 12 Championship matches.

Some great contributions on here. I also wouldn’t be that devastated to see Maddison leave but mainly because I’m not sure he’ll stay fit.
I can’t see us losing anyone we don’t want to in this window. Tielemans is the obvious one who I don’t think could turn down Liverpool if they came calling, but I just don’t think they’ll spend that level of cash.
Our signings so far look very shrewd so looking forward to seeing how we start the season. Think Daka will be eased in but Soumare really excites me.
