training? The Euros finished over two weeks ago, so he should have had a couple of weeks holiday by now, and be back in the coming week at the training ground.
I would suspect he would not need that much getting up to speed for the first game of the season against Man City, so not sure I believe the rumours that he may not be ready for the game. Surely he has to start. And what about all the other players at the Euros, does that mean they will not be ready either?
I expect to see all our players up and ready to go first game of the season. No excuses really to be starting late, and missing the early games, this seems a modern thing. Cannot ever remember it happening in the past, when players went to tournaments in the Summer, and then were not fit enough to start the new season in August.

Not sure about Spurs but Ole said yesterday that the players from the Euros for us are back in training today, but the England and Brazil players that went all the way to the end of the tournaments are back in another 7-10 days so next week.

Yeah not great preparation but they should take too long to get back sharp tbf after the amount of football they’ve played in the last year it’s not too long of a break.

LOL He was still England's top scorer, to add to his Prem and Assists tops of last season. Not bad for somebody so slow.

Ultimately he came good, but my god he was so slow those first few games. It was honestly like he was running through treacle.
Not doubting his quality for a second - how could you? - but I think we'll start to see a slightly different player the next few years. He's sort of turning in to Le Tissier, which isn't a bad thing at all.
