Seen a couple of rumours like this floating around. Hopefully we are waiting for Atlanta to conclude their business before agreeing Romero? Presume he is still on holiday like GLC after playing in the Copa...?

The opportunity is there to sign a premium centre back. It will tell us all we need to know about our ambitions if we lose out. If we're working on such a tight budget why are we bringing in deal for a 20 year old in a position that we've got got covered for 20m plus? That doesn't make any sense. A top centre back is a priority. No excuses.

I'm not sure it tells us much if we lose out to richer teams in champions league. Agents aren't stupid. We get used as billboards.

If we lose out to Everton or Arsenal then I would really have issues but we also have to accept we are not as attractive as champions league teams with deep pockets even IF we agree personal terms..clubs will always sell to highest bidder.

All these reports should be taken with a pinch of salt, we're all aware of that, but it looks quite clear that Atalanta have a set a price that we need to meet. If we get him signed up for cheaper than what we're asking, fair play, no complaints from me. What we can't do is lose out on our top target in a position that should take precedence over any other.

I love the way our first choices are the lowest probabilities. Dream choice should be the terms used not first choice.

Dream choice: Romero or Kounde
First Choice: Milenkovic or Andersen
Back up: Lacroix or Caleta Car

Fans needs to stop getting so upset over failed Dream choices

You need to start thinking about why our first choices are "dreams"!
They are not.
We are not asking for Messi or Mbappe,....we are asking for Kounde or Romero.
No reason either of them could not have been brought to WHL....no reason other then....Lockbox Levy.

We got our fourth choice manager.
We will end up again with fourth choice players, the Sanchez's and Aurier's of this world.
Prepare for a wonderful season in the Premiership.

Well Nuno has just made his first real blunder............
selling Toby Alderweireld for just 3 Mil.
The guy's only 32 and still a top CB.
Must have been worth 13 Mil or more!
