It's not that he wasn't in his plans, it's pretty well documented he asked for a transfer, even before Nuno.

Toby has given his best years to the club, if he wants to leave for a final pay day and we have plans on defensive signings then it works for both parties.

Absolutely correct. Toby has given his best days, and was as culpable as the rest of the defence for the poor showing last season. Sometimes you have to move on players, even though they have given their all.

47 Million sterling. You get what you pay for.

It's not just the central defence that needs work. Reggie and Doherty can't defend. They are all over the show. We'll need to spend a few quid for someone to get a bit of order back there. We can't have another season with those idiots in the middle of the defence.

Apparently Atlanta are close to signing Lovato too to replace him

It's very, very likely to happen now. Should be done by the weekend / early next week.
