€50m Romero bid

Spurs have offered a guaranteed €50m plus add ons for Atalanta centre back Christiano Romero. Talks were progressing but Atalanta still have not accepted.

Supposedly they now want to wait and until they can find a new replacement and don’t feel that their current singings / targets are sufficient replacements for the highly rated defender

Understandably spurs are not happy & reports suggest that the call ended badly and could even potentially be off.

Spurs are doing everything they can to land the centre back but Atalanta are acting very difficult.

Romero is doing everything he can to force a move. He wants to play in a spurs shirt and is desperate to join the club.

2 weeks to go

Need cb’s , fullbacks, attacking mid, back up striker

Signed reserve goalkeeper and a winger.

This paratici Geezer has done nothing

Still going into a season unbalanced and way off what we need.

Yep, we have signed 2 players with an eye on the future and who will make no immediate impact on strengthening the first XI.

Add to that, we have sold our best defender and are phannying around trying to sign his successor.

At present, it has been a clusterfack of a window and even if we sign some defenders next week, they will have no time to train and develop any kind of understanding etc.

We will be going in against £ity with last years defence minus the best part of it, and minus Kane. A royal bending is nailed on.

Cb x2, Rb and a striker were the 4 priority signings this summer. 1 Cb if he was an absolute barnstormer.

Not getting any of those over the line yet is largely frustrating.

Needed for the first the new season starting at least half of the minimum signings made.

With talk of kane, him and a few others too going deep into the euros is a factor, the XI on the opening day could make our eyes water in a bad way

Frustrating, but not end of the world. We all know how Paratici works with several targets, Atlanta dragging their heals on paying Juve and Tomayasu still at Olympics.

Half of this board had apparently given up on Spurs since about 2 weeks after Nagelsmann said no, that's a long time to be carrying round the anger...

We clearly have a #1 CB target, who is still on the cards, but moving goalposts with finding their own signings and paying off the loan move .

I can live with the Man City game being horrendous (but even withe same squad as last year I think we'll see a better defence as we won't be sitting back inviting pressure with 25% possession) if we give Paratici the entire window to get us in better shape.

So many comments of we need a rebuild, and yet expect that rebuild to be done and dusted at the drop of a hat.

No doubt it’s going to be another relatively poor start to the season with the late transfer business and a team / squad in transition.

I do however feel that the majority of fans will be very happy with the business done. I believe Paratici is a game changer and will bring some serious talent to Spurs

I’m confident that we will wrap up Romero next week. We will also sign at least one other quality centre back.

The voices from inside the club say that there will be guaranteed exits for Auirer, Sissoko, Sanchez & possibly Dier but that depends on a suitable bid. They are also keen to offload Winks for the right price but he’s desperate to stay at Spurs.

We will definitely sign at least 5+ new payers and Paratici is working overtime to negotiate with a number of clubs. I think that once the Romero deal gets over the line we will see things really start to ramp up but don’t be surprised to see some transfer day deadline deals. It’s spurs after all….

One question is wether we sell Kane or not. It seems like Spurs are clear that he won’t be sold but if the right bid (£150m+) comes in then that could change.

The more I think I about, I’m not sure that I’m that against it. Before you bite my head off, I’d love to see him stay but £150m to spend on a serious rebuild, as long as we bring in talent then it could really transform our squad.

We no longer have to rely on Levy, we have a proven DOF who can attract and negotiate deals with players that would improve our squad significantly.

We would also sign two strikers with the money. Martinez and Vlahovic are options but potentially not both.

Let’s wait and see what happens but it will be a very different team come the end of August.

Ace - I wouldn’t consider myself ITK but I do have friends with very close sources within the club.

Romero done. Gil joining after the lympics. Probably Tomiyasu, too. After that we just need to shift deadwood and get a Kane backup
