Lukaku or Grealish ?

(Apologies for all the questions, my inner RDD is at the wheel).

Which will be a better signing this season ?

They haven’t challenged for the title for four years. Not what I’d call a title challenging side.

That’s because they had their own Ole in charge. They’ve just won the CL and have one of the best managers in the game. They’re deffo a side who will be challenging for the title this season and I’ve had said that even if they hadn’t signed Lukaku. Perhaps you’re just on the wind up but would you really be shocked if they challenged for the title this season?

I’m wumming a little bit, but as of yet they aren’t a title challenging side. I wouldn’t be surprised if they challenged for the title, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if they finished fourth again.

At least we can LAB as Aguero is out for 10 weeks 😂

Who’d have thought that would happen?

Apparently Depay’s been looking pretty sharp for them. I reckon that could prove to be a decent signing for them, if they are allowed to register him.

I always thought certain players might do well outside Messi’s shadow (like Griezmann) and I think Depay is the type of personality to step up and try to be that guy. Obviously he won’t be anywhere as good as Messi but think as you say he’ll be a good signing. I saw highlights of Malen and Haaland linking up well for Dortmund the other day. Gonna be a good signing. Some good Dutch players coming through. LVG’s gonna get horny again.

I’m still not convinced Greizmann will do well there, but Messi leaving certainly helps him. One of the good things for Barca, if they can register players, is that they can play a more balanced pressing system now.

Lukaku suits Chelsea’s style. However when he played in the premiership before he was often underwhelming. At his best running onto the ball in front of him, but not so hot with his back to goal. And as any United fan will tell you, often with a poor first touch. Has Italy accentuated the strengths and improved the weaknesses? We shall see.

I will go with big Rom here. He will score bags against the fodder teams.

I just have this feeling City don’t need Grealish and he might suffer from expectation.

I agree.

I also wonder how much Grealish moves the needle for City. Is he that much better than a comparable player for city in Bernardo? I’m not so sure.

If City get Kane then that for me changes things massively
