We have to reject City!!!

This article explains why oil clubs are trying to buy up players this summer that they won't be able to buy next year.

Article doesn't mention that City in particular will be most affected by this rule change.

That's according to The Times, who have reported all clubs participating in European competitions would see their spending on salaries limited to a fixed percentage of their revenue in the region of 70 per cent.

Yeah, not sure why this affects the Kane deal more than any other player. As others have suggested, there are a thousand loopholes for clubs to use. Bigger signing on fees that would make up any shortfall seen in the players wages, performance related bonuses and 'outsourced' sponsorship that will officially pay a player but will unofficially be nothing but a conduit between club and player. That's laundering but we all know it goes on.

If UEFA were serious they would have punished both PSG and City for previous fiddling of the books. They should have both been relegated down two or three divisions as a proper punishment. Instead they got a wrap on the knuckles.

If a rule like this was to come into force then it’s somewhere that our stadium project would really pay dividends for us.

Regarding Kane, my opinion is tell City they have til 14:59 on Sunday to make a formal offer of £160m, if it’s received he will be sold. If it’s not he will be on the team sheet at 15:00 and no further offer will be entertained as it’ll leave us too short, too late in the window.

Take it or leave it you plastic, oil doped cuuunnntts.

Yup time to give them an ultimatum, either come up with the wonga or feck off. Simple as.

I think release clauses and bid submission dates will be included in most contracts.

£100m release clause and official submission must be made no later than 28 working days before close of the window in which the bid is submitted.

Usual media rubbish.

Arsenal aren't even in Europe, so who cares.

Chelsea yes, but Spurs Salaries are renowned worldwide for being "cheap" compared with the other "big 6"

Chelsea - definitely yes. They seriously need reining in by someone.

But, the worst offenders - City - not even mentioned. Joke.

Is it just me, or is this just about the most ridiculous assss about face way of going about tackling financial disparity in the game?

The game is being run by morons.

How about putting a wage cap on players ?

What, the players themselves don’t like that? What are they going to do? Not play football anymore in protest and get a job in a warehouse instead?

Luxury tax. Think about it. Let the players bleed the game dry, because the more they earn the more they get taxed. Luxury taxed no less. Which the clubs (not the actual player themselves earning the actual money) then have to pay.

And you fans are buying this?

🤣
