Ramsdale to Arsenal is also nearly complete for 24mil + 6mil add ons

White - £50m
Lokonga - £17m
Tavares - £8m
Ramsdale - £26m
Odegaard - £30m

So around £130m and the team is no better really

Agreed. None of those signings other than maybe Odegaard would excite me.

White is good but not sure he’s elite or has elite potential.

Never seen Lokonga play but almost 22 years old and has never played for what is now an average enough Belgian squad.

Tavares. A lot of similarities to Lokonga.

Ramsdale. Bang average. Surely better available and cheaper.

Odegaard. Has potential but hasn’t really done it at the highest level so far.

Ramsdale will be WC and eventually replace that Panicford

Lokonga has looked a steal at that price. HOWEVER...he is 21 and will have dips. He also has Arteta...who i have zero confidence to make him better.

Tavares is a kid but looks ok as a backup.

White is underwhelming.i wanted Dunk in 2019 and was told on here that he is championship level. I'd still have taken him over White. We need a no nonsense defender.

Odegaard is decent. Over his loan spell I was not blown out of the water. He is decent, but nothing to shout home about.

Ramsdale in the games I have seen has been underwhelming.


Having said all this...Arteta is the biggest issue. I have yet to see a player he has brought in really progress. Cedric, Mari, Willian, Gabriel (started brilliantly but tailed off), Partey (already at his prime).

Not good enough.

Hilarious really, Ramsdale is utter shiite. As others have mentioned, £130m spent on players im not convinced will improve them at all really.

White transfer is the only one we've made that really annoys me tbh. Bissouma is the Brighton player that we needed.

The rest aren't significant fee's at all. You can argue Ramsdale, but he's young and English so inevitably there is a tax.

All said and done, without signing an RB and CM that are ready to walk into the side then we're aren't going to make progress. Spunking £130m we should have solved both those issues.

They signed Partey last season. And whilst he’s not worked out yet, he was still a very highly regarded player. They may not have the pull of some of the top four, but they still have pull in the transfer market due to their name, location and finances. These signings are as a result of incompetence not a lack of pull.
