Riechedly Bazoer

First of all good to be back.

I write about the aforementioned player. If you've been watching the Dutch league, you'd have noticed him as one of Vitesse's most important players, where he plays in the central defense, but for those of us who have followed his career right from his days at Ajax, we know his ability in defensive mid. At the time, he was a youngster who was a bit erratic and suffered discipline issues. He seemed to have settled with the new vitesse manager, who converted him to a CB. Bazoer, however has his heart set on midfield. Indeed he wears the number 10 jersey. How many CBs wear the number 10 jersey for their clubs? Nonetheless he scored 5 goals last season despite his defensive role. Marseille came calling this month, Vitesse was emphatic in their refusal.

I watched two games last season where he played his preferred position as defensive mid. The lad was magnificent. I conjured up an image of Bazoer and Partey in Arsenal midfield? What a combination that could turn out to be. Of course Bisouma happens to be the wish of many Arsenal fans, but seems to be out of reach. Riechedly Bazoer is such a solid player, strange he's still under the radar, though Marseille did make an approach which was rebuffed.

Flopped in Germany and Portugal. Attitude problems. Injury issues. Moved from midfield to defence to get the best out of him.

Doesn't really add up to a good signing imo.

Always the case when your a young and big potential transfer on fifa (for any one who remembers fifa 15)

I've seen him play last season for Vitesse and yes his ballplaying skills are world class and much much better than a certain guy who was slated to be worse than Dutch sunday league defenders in that aspect...

His biggest problem is that he defaults to old mistakes when things are going too well on the pitch or when he gets wound up by opponents. His second half/last quarter of the season performance was disgusting and makes me believe it's his nature. The only difference from his Ajax years is that he learnt to pretend to tick all the 'right boxes' and lay low when under fire...

Good point. Now he's fulfilling his potential. Did anyone watch the match against Dundalk? Mom. And before anyone says Dundalk is no opposition, watch Vitesse away match to Ajax in Cryuff arena last season. He was collosal, bagging a goal as well. In both matches he played as a midfielder.

I take it you've watched this guy. I have, and agree he could be world class at times. I think age is on his side and believe in the premiership, under the right manager, his discipline will improve massively. For a guy massively underated, we won't be bursting the bank (Marseille went with an offer of 5m or thereabouts). Surely it's a chance to take. We're talking of a player that is a massive upgrade on Xhaka and Elneny. Not to talk of a dream partnership with Partey.

Yeah, he's probably a pretty cheap gamble that might come good. But I'm afraid he's alot like Ramsey: had one great season where he played a disciplined box-to-box role but after that he started doing all these flicks and tricks at inopportune moments and has never recovered from that playing style...

This lad and Rambo are not in the same class ability wise. How many players make their senior national team at age 19? At a valuation of €7.5 - 10m, what better gamble can there be? He'll possibly go to a French club and end up in premiership a couple of years later, costing 3 times the amount. Don't compare this guy's ability to Ramsey bro. He's a baller. Give him the right coach, right environment, plus maturity is setting in. He definitely will fulfill his potential. Remember a certain Anelka?
