Liverpool:
I find it quite strange how this season the media and many pundits appear to be discounting Liverpool's title winning credentials. Up until the Ronaldo signing for United yesterday they were my very slight title favourites. Now I think it is a toss of a coin between United and Liverpool with Chelsea a hair's breadth behind.
Liverpool have looked impressive in their last two games looking like the title winning team of two seasons ago and they look hungry. They won't defend like Arsenal did last weekend due to both tactics and abilities, so whilst Lukaku can keep them very occupied, he is unlikely to get anywhere near the freedom that he got at The Emirates.
Chelsea:
I actually think we were average against a poor Arsenal team and without Lukaku, I am not sure we would have beaten them. We will need to play much better today against Liverpool to come away with a result.
However, Kante will be back and I suspect Chilwell will be chosen over Alonso as the safer option.
Will Tuchel pair Werner and Lukaku together? Given the way Liverpool play I think he might and it could prove to be either a brilliant or disastrous move. I would have preferred to be playing this game a few weeks later in the season when Lukaku would have had more time to bed in and get used to playing with his teamates, but it is what it is.
Prediction:
Team selection and tactics will be key of course, but I fear Liverpool's 12th man will give them a crucial edge in a 2-1 home win.

Don't think they will smash us like they hope.
We are an improving team and should give them a game.
In general we are a team on the up; Liverpool have peaked and on their way down

is it? I mean the overall points total last was 86, 2nd lowest in the past 8 years (only Leicester won the league with a lower total)
So If other teams perform and City repeat that figure could easily see them in third or fourth maybe.
In reality it won't happen and City will win the league comfortably with 90+ this season

it was nothing special because we also had injury issues upfront and it was our least creative season under Guardiola.
Something special is 100 points and I doubt any of the teams you have mentioned except liverpool are even close to that level.
We have been in the title race in at least 8 of the last 10 seasons but oh well if you think we wont be near it its your opinion I guess

City are nowhere near a 100 points without a proper striker and frankly we have your number when you play with a false 9. You won't be beating your main rivals for the title unless you find a proper striker.

Ans please show me where I wrote City wouldn't be near a title challenge.....the inference is purely that I think there are three teams that have a slightly better chance.
