Ole in and Ole out

Is it time for both camps to meet in the middle and agree he's done some excellent things for the club but some awful things as well?

In terms of rebuilding the squad and changing the culture, he's done a world class job but as a tactician he's been poor and his in game management has been even worse.

There are a multitude of teams in this league which cost the fraction of ours but who play better football. They only thing stopping them competing with us, is the size of their transfer budgets.

Ole either needs to bring in new coaching staff or he needs to step aside for a more capable manager. You see the difference Tuchel made for Chelsea within a matter of months and three years on, Ole and his staff still can't get our team to string three passes together.

The problem with Conte is that our squad is built around having wingers/wing forwards, but also a number 10 in Bruno. They can’t all coexist with the way he wants to have his team set up, so we’d have to ditch how we’ve gone about building our squad.

Sounds like a typical managerial appointment for us then!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, difference being Conte could probably make it work if he was allowed to sacrifice some big players and get a couple in more suited to what he wants.

I hope we don’t go near him, though. Would just be more functional football, and this time without exciting wide players.

Even after today we have conceded far more goals than expected in recent months.

We are due like 7 or 8 games like that.

Hopefully that is that last of its kind!

It maybe worth a punt trying to tempt Daniel Farke, Graham Potter or Hasenhüttl into a number two spot.

The false hope of becoming a United manager one day might lure them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You must be pretty stupid to think those managers would give up their managerial roles to play second fiddle to Ole!

It doesn't work like that.

Ole has assembled people he works well with. Phelan is very well known to him from his playing days and Carrick is a Utd legend and a trusted coach at the club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

"he works well with"

Yeah it's working brilliantly!

Before calling somebody else stupid, think about your next sentence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not Ole's biggest fan but he as manager must have a good working relationship with people before they are employed as a no. 2

Phelan is trusted by Ole.

What you are suggesting is stupid beyond reason. A manager doesn't give up their job to be no.2 to Ole or anyone. Their ambition is to excel as no.1 manager.

The expectancy is obviously false then Hafi because I expect us to concede every time we play.

McClaren?

He was AM at Derby before taking over from Brian Kidd as AM at Utd in 1999. He had relative success after as no.1 manager.

I don't really understand how you come away from a game like that with positives. You have just been battered by Wolves ffs. Chelsea, Liverpool or City totally dominate us on any day.

Funnily enough under Ole in the 2 games we didn’t win in the league in the away games at Wolves we were by far the better team and lost and drew so we deserved a smash and grab win here.

Teams play badly every now and again, or go through runs where they're playing badly. That's four points from two bad performances, which shows resilience. I'm not sure how you can't understand that. Using how other teams will probably play against you is a playground stuff as well, Cinci.

We battered Southampton last game so how was that a bad performance? We should have won easily.
