another week of football, what have we learnt, and looking forward what have we to come?
Well Spurs top the pile, and in the process knock West Ham off the top, Liverpool out of the top four, and look down and see Arsenal rock bottom. Add in progression in a European Competition and not a bad week at all if you are a Spurs supporter. Spurs, the team that were apparently in turmoil, and about to lose their best player, are in fact not in turmoil, but have regrouped, kept their best player and now a look a very solid outfit.
Looking forward, after yet another ridiculous International break, Spurs will be first up in the Prem on the resumption, with a visit to Crystal Palace, in another winnable match, won`t be easy, but all the same Spurs have a great chance to put a bit of daylight between themselves and the chasing pack, could be a five point lead by the time the rest of the Prem kicks off. For once Spurs would not be playing catch up, as seems the norm.
Only problem is I think Sanchez, Romero and Lo Celso are all going to travel home for Internationals, which means they will have to self isolate on return, and all miss the Palace and Chelsea games, plus some cup ties. That would be a total nonsense, and I think the club should do all they can to stop them travelling. Nothing can be allowed to get in the way of Spurs excellent start to the season.
So a decent start to the season, and who knows. Usually those that start well, normally stay up or near the top, and those that start badly usually struggle all season and end up getting relegated. Could it really happen, Arsenal go down? Probably not, but you just never know in football, they could do a Sheffield United, mid table one season, and relegated the next. And could Spurs do a Leicester, sneak clear at the top, everyone saying they won`t last, and guess what, nobody caught them. Oh to dream.
Have a great week fellas. Happy Days.

Don, when was the last time Spurs kept three consecutive clean sheets in the Prem? Sanchez and Dier have both been excellent. Cannot knock them mate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am definitely not knocking them. Started excellently. But could of all gone wrong had Traore not finished that one on one. Dier mistake nearly cost us and that is my worry mate,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Could have, might have, but didn`t. Cannot just pick out one minor blip in three games to have a pop at Dier mate.

It’s not a minor blip though is it Sandy ? He’s continuously made mistakes as has Sanchez for years. Them keeping 3 clean sheets doesn’t alter that mate. They need too have a good few months before I am convinced Sanchez and Dier are our partnership. Long term not for me sorry.

Why are Spurs sending players when other clubs have refused to send?

Yeah I’m confused ….I presumed Sandy had it wrong in his article now I’m just hoping he has!
I thought clubs didn’t have to send players if isolation was required and games would be missed
Tottenham only have themselves to blame if we are allowing this to happen

Villa are also sending their Argentinians so it seems player lead that they want to play

I have seen them all sitting on a plane jetting off. Spurs really have to be the biggest mugs going for allowing them to travel.

The club cannot stop them and the players have been told by fifa to go.
Not great but you cannot knock the players for doing their duty.
Government should allow sportsman exemption and let them carry on with negative tests.

I thought other clubs had though?
We are too nice and probably allowed the players to decide

No clubs cannot make any players stay. It’s up to the players or national team to make the decisions.
The players aren’t not going to go and out their World Cup hopes at risk which is what the argentian fa are said.
There was a rule if a player wasn’t injured and refused to go he would be banned from the next club game after the international break.
