Transfer Ban?

There are rumours of a two year ban on transfers if overdue transfer payments to clubs are not met soon.
It's getting that I can't see the tunnel , let alone the light at the end of it.

Ed Dawes :

This is interesting. I am assured that this is an automatic system function to strike off Derby County’s Academy by Companies House due to overdue accounts. Nothing sinister I’m told. #dcfcfans

On Companies House

THE DERBY COUNTY FC ACADEMY LIMITED - Active proposal to strike off.

---------------------------------------------------

So given the recent news it'll mean Derby County will not be able to trade under that name for it's Academy and to prompt MM into paying what is overdue.

Academy accounts were due on 30th June 2020, so are now 14 months overdue! FFS.

They have until 23rd October to prevent being automatically struck-off the company registrar.

I don't for a minute underestimate the challenges of running a footy club. But this is ridiculous......

but at least we have a 3rd kit to look forward to.

Keepers can don a Mr. Blobby look, while our outfield players can run around dressed like Ronald McDonald.

At least that way there will be parity between what can be seen on the field and what's going on in the boardroom.

Rumours are that EFL are still pushing to get Derby to agree to a 9 point deduction in an "out of court" settlement. And rumours that Morris has stuck up two fingers and told the EFL to put up or shut up and that he is prepared to fight all the way.

Which I suppose you have to admire in a way, but who holds the cards here? Does Morris believe he can take on the EFL and win?

I said before, Morris should be pressing for points in compensation, never mind a deduction.

The EFL signed off the accounts, they provided guidance and admit they made a mistake but insist on punishing us for it.

The whole saga has left us at a severe competitive disadvantage, caused us to lose a playing asset when an extension clause written into a contract couldn't be activated, and has done untold harm to the reputation of the club.

I'm not a fan of Mel, and the EFL could kick probably us out of the league entirely if we take them to court (something in the rules about not doing that isn't there?) but on a personal level, Mel could take them to the cleaners and set a precedent.
