'A famous face was missing from the green and white brigade'
90 years today since his passing. A legend of Scottish football. My father saw him as a yound boy and regaled me with tales of his brilliance.
Thought it appropriate to mark the anniversary with a wee post on here.

Isn’t it hanging in the corridor at CP? Maybe I’m mixed with another old woolly one?

You can see his goal keeping Jersey at the football museum I think it is < erm> trying to think where I seen this
Anyway it's like thick wool , it's looks absolutely brutal to play in ...in the sun or the rain !!

Cannae remember where it is - abiding memory of the museum was braatbak’s size 4’s ffs - like a pair of boottees for a newborn 😂

Had a debate with a tic fan on the old 606 who claimed Thomsons boots were buried here
Didn't have the heart to tell him.

Don’t think he ever recovered from that, did he?
Like the boxer who put that boy in the coma.
