It seems Brazil have invoked a ban on premier league players that did not turn up for international duty.
Correct me if I am wrong but Brazil insist a 10 day quarantine on all people from the uk. As we witnessed In the Argentina game. Then the UK want a 10 day quarantine for the players upon their return. Meaning a min 20 day trip for 1 match. Then we will have it all again in October then again in November.

Apperently they have banned Thiago Silva from playing for Chelsea for 2 games...dunno how they enforce that...he could just quit

There's a procedure for retiring from your national team, whereby you need to notify the federation in writing. Until he does that, he cannot in principle use retirement as an excuse for not attending a call up.

Mexico have done the same with Jimenez apparently. Seems daft in some cases, could end up alienating players from their national teams.
