Decisions decisions

Although we clearly deserved to lose today, and we can’t exactly claim we were on the wrong end of horrendous decisions, I think it really highlighted the fine margins games can be decided on…

The unsporting decision of Palace not to stop play when we had a player down injured
The decision not to send Zaha off even though he raised his hands to Tangangas face
The decision that a non dangerous or malicious foul from Tanganga (that he tried to pull out of) warranted a second yellow
The decision to award a penalty for an unintentional handball from a couple yards away

I’m not saying that necessarily all or even any of those decisions were wrong. But they’re all decisions which could potentially have gone a different way, which could have completely changed the outcome of the game.

We were outplayed and outfought, and deserved to lose. But ultimately until those decisions came to the fore we were level, despite having a severely depleted team.

I think most football fans hate the game being stopped for a player going down pretending to be hurt. Not specifically Moura today, but it is gamesmanshipo to stop a counter attack quite often.

Tanganga looks like a player who physical attributes outweigh his footballing ability, though. Definitely lost the plot today, and was correctly sent off after a desperate lunge following a bad touch.

Definitely and backfired on him and Spurs today massively.

IMO:

Palace were clearly worth the win on balance of play.

You look absolutely toothless without Son.

Zaha should’ve gone for the ‘push/punch’

Your boy’s 2nd yellow wasn’t a yellow.

Penalty was justified.

Anyway chin up chaps, bad day at the office, you’re still in the ‘hunt’

I only saw the highlights but for once i thought moss actually got all the decisions right. And i can’t stand the facking teletubby.

Palace seemed on top and well more up for it from the highlights too even before the sending off. Internationals are well known to interrupt and seems like Spurs drew the short straw this time. But still reasonable to expect a better performance than that regardless.

There were no fine margins.

None of the decisions were even close to being wrong.

Spurs never stop play when there is a player down injured.

I feel that you’ve missed the point of the OP’s article.

Games can be won and lost on fine margins, and the OP is justified in highlighting these. Would the outcome have been different? No one knows, but it’s a valid observation, and even if none of the decisions made were wrong (which the OP specifically states), had one or more of those decisions gone the “other way”, then the outcome could (that’s could) have been different. And no less (or more) contentious.

I’m surprised by the naivety of your comment to be honest. This is the kind of topic that is the bread and butter of sites like this and among fans week in week out.

To be honest i'm surprised at just how dumb this comment is even for you.

I haven't missed the point of the OP’s article, you've clearly missed the point of mine.

Yes "Games can be won and lost on fine margins," but as i stated in the very first line of my comment... 'There were no fine margins.'

what’s the matter Ace? Awww you’re not still upset about getting slaughtered on the other thread…
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m a bit embarrassed for you mate, received a lot of genuine messages of goodwill from all across this forum including from me, but didn’t take you long to go back to being a dikhead.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh dear, what was so objectionable to you about my critique Spurs you took it THAT personally ?

Jeez, if you can’t control your emotion from reading words on a screen perhaps you should stay away until you’ve relaxed your mind a bit.

Facking hell
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just read back and seen this but would respectfully disagree, you’re clearly a man lacking in emotional intelligence. To go from pouring ones heart out to all and sundry and welcoming messages of goodwill, to reverting back to wummery in the same space is pretty pathetic and embarrassing in my opinion but hey, if it gives you and the girls something to talk about on the Loose Women thread then knock yourself out pal, that’s clearly your priority but you obviously have no balls.

Pointing the finger of lacking emotional intelligence when you, a grown assed man, cannot handle wummery that you have to bring someone’s kid into the discussion?

You’re a moron ace, weak, pathetic and culpable of landing low blows because you cannot deal with words on a page about a football team.
