We played with 10 men for most of the match

Even with 10 we should have played a lot better than that. We went from controlling the game to not being able to string a few passes together.

I was particularly worried when we beat Leeds 5-1 and Newcastle 4-1.

Southampton can be a tough game for anybody and today, well, we deserved to lose but ultimately Lingard and AWB cost us points.

Let’s be fair we never looked like scoring against Newcastle until that goalkeeping blunder and never looked in control until Bruno got the 3rd.

It was a poor, lethargic display for large spells.

We had 3 new signings starting, disjointed is to be expected tbh.

Disjointed is acceptable. It’s the lack of urgency and ball retention out of possession that’s worrying and it’s not a new thing.
