We literally did not win any second ball in midfield. and Whoever thought Fred and Pogba in a midfield is the foundation for success is a bloody fool.
People can whine all day but when your best defensive midfielder is Fred getting pushed aside like a ragged doll, how exactly can anyone sustain against a full squad.
Matic, Fred and Pogba have not won a midfield battle in a year and this not going to change.
Some think its playing 3 man midfield with Pogba and Bruno that will stop this midfield from being overwhelmed???
Next year hopefully we by 3 new midfielders. Till then, this season is a write off.

Warning signs have been there all season, i dont think weve controlled a midfield once since the leeds game, its going to be very similar to last year, we'll win plenty but i fear we'll lose those crucial games

But young boys had pace, energy and athleticism which the likes of Maguire can't handle.

McTominay yes, Lindelof no.
The best midfield we can play is probably McFred plus Bruno at AM and Pogba on the left. Anything else we play is slightly imbalanced and Ole won’t tend to go much more adventurous. But that system really limits who you can play out of Ronaldo, Sancho, Greenwood, Rashford, Martial etc. It’s a headache.
