At what point....

Do we start talking about Mo Salah as one of our greatest Premier League players. In terms of natural ability, you'd maybe say Suarez and obviously Gerrard will probably always be thought of us out best, but....
Salah for me moved up a level last season. During our toughest times, he stood up again and again. Not just with goals, but his work rate went up, he seemed to be less selfish whilst Mane went the other way. He has carried that on to this season and you very rarely see him make the wrong choice, which he did way more than you would expect if you looked at his numbers.

For me he is pushing towards being our greatest ever overseas player. Our best ever right sided attacker and only behind Gerrard in terms of players of the prem era. If he stays another 3-4 years and keeps this form up, to me he'll be alongside the very best players to ever play in the prem.

Love everything I see from him at the moment. Let's hope we can get him to sign that new deal.

Btw. For those who dont recall. Have a look at a small amount of john barnes.for why I would say he is most gifted I have seen in red.

Look at the goals off his right foot like v everton.

The dribbling, the speed, the control, the vision. The fact he did it where lads could slide in and stud you.

So in terms of raw talent he is up there somewhere

——————
Yes, his talent was absolutely phenomenal. That goal that Kuyt scored against Man U on the goal line, the way Suarez dealt with those Man Utd defenders - 4 of them turned inside out. Absolutely brilliant.

His goals.. fack me, here’s all 82 of them.
Right foot, left foot, free kicks, screamers, headers, sublime control and finishes, he even scored a header from the edge of the area.

In terms of talent he is absolutely up there but he also fought for the team.
If he was CF instead of Bobby.. yeah.

“Just can’t get enough..” was great too.

From the players I watched I always rated Gerrard, Torres and Suarez as my top 3 but Salah is up there now.

I actually think there are a bunch of players in this team that are up there as the best in their positions in the last 20 years or so; Fabinho, Trent, Robbo, VVD and Alisson.

Fabinho is an unbelievable player. So underrated outside of Liverpool.

He perfected the nutmeg more than any player I've ever seen

He was absolutely immense, the best player in the world at that point for me.

Suarez finished brilliantly but his first 2 season he was pretty inconsistent. Salah was a instant success.

And the quality of the sides that they both played in might have something to do with it.

Suarez went on to have a few more brilliant seasons at Barcelona after us.

If we win the league again this year and he is our main man then yes he is our greatest player in prem era. Though suarez is naturally more gifted.

Salah still banged the goals when we had our injury nightmare

I don’t think anyone is arguing that or that suarez wouldn’t have either.

Technically Suarez > Salah.

I have seen a few players who played with Barnes towards the end of his career, do interviews and say he was the best player they played with. It's kinda crazy how many say it too. Guy's reputation speaks for itself amongst pros that trained with him.
