Great player I remember seeing him play loads of times at Highbury in the NLD you always worried when he got the ball near our goal. RIP Jimmy from a gooner of over 60 years

It’s so sad when a proper legend of the game passes away.My memories of Jimmy greaves was him gliding over the mud and ploughed fields of the 60s tucking the ball past the keepers.Taking on some of the hardest and biggest hatchet men in England and scoring.
Had Greaves been playing today on the surfaces more like a billiard table he would be scoring 40 goals a season.
Rest in peace Jimmy you entertained a lot of fans not just your own.
