On Wednesday Wolves welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Molineux for a League Cup 4th round clash.
For the second time in 4 weeks, Nuno Espirito Santo will bring his team to Molineux. In the last encounter, despite a dominating performance, Wolves were beaten 1-0. Since then Wolves have managed one league win and 2 losses. Spurs have also had a win and 2 losses in the league and a win and a draw in the Europa Conference League.
Wolves come into the game on the back of a lacklustre performance at home on Saturday which saw Brentford deservedly take all 3 points by outplaying Wolves at their own system.
Spurs come into the game after a 3-0 trouncing at home by on-form Chelsea,
It’s difficult to predict a result for this game as Nuno will probably do as he did at Wolves and select a reserve side whereas Bruno will probably go with some of the starters he has used for the last 4 games.
John Ruddy will undoubtedly start and will probably be joined by Willy Boly Yerson Mosquera, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Ki Jana Hoever and Hee Chan. After that it’s anyone’s guess.
Gem’s prediction 1-1, Tottenham go through on penalties.

Yeah can't say Trincao is impressing me that much, has good moments here and there.

Wolves best player tonight was Dendoncker followed closely by Podence. Both Hoever and Ait-Nouri did well too. Good to see Boly back and looking as confident on the ball as ever. Felt sorry for Hee Chan who worked so hard and ended the game looking as if he had done 3 rounds with Mike Tyson.

Have to assume Boly will come in for Saiss on Sunday.
Would be quite happy to see Hwang start centrally and Donk to start along with Podence.

What a damn shame! Derby County in administration and given a 12 points deduction leaving them at the bottom of the table on -2 points

Good game in the end when it looked like we might get a spanking after half an hour.
Terrible decision cost us the game in the end. When Mosquera went off Coady came on and played on the right of the back 3 not the centre and Spurs tore us apart in that period. Mistake by Coady gifted them the first then the defence parted to let Kane through. After that Coady moved to the centre and once Boly moved to the right Kane hardly got another kick. Boly and Kilman both really good as were Hoever and Ait Nouri.
Dendoncker got a goal and assist and certainly put his case forward. Mixed bag of a performance by Podence. Excellent at times, wasteful at times. Not sure about Hwang. Worked hard and very enthusiastic but his first touch was mostly terrible. Traore tore them apart when he came on and was unlucky not to setup a couple of goals.
Pity our penalties were so poor.

Traore tore them apart? I missed that I guess.
Agree on Hwang, lots of effort but doesn't look like he is particularly great on the ball and a poor first touch. Not sure if that is the norm for him or not.
Big game on Sunday really, need to get some kind of result and defeat would really begin to sit heavy on our shoulders.

Yes it was a bizarre set up after Mosquera went down for the Tony Daley award for the shortest debut. Ndonbele waltzed through untouched with Boly in his wake then Kane had acres of space for the second. Wondered if he was offside actually but no one's mentioned it so guess not. Got back in to it well though, Podence was a live wire and took his chance well. He'd start ahead of Trincao for me next weekend.
Hwang started brightly but faded a bit second half, Dendoncker had a good game but Neves and Silva gave the ball away so many times in the first half it was embarrassing. Losing RAN was a blow thought he'd played well, poor guy looked like he hadn't a clue where he was or why, hope he's ok. So disappointing to have fought our way back in to the game to make such a mess of the pens though.

Hope for some good news on Mosquera and Ait Nouri. Both looked in a bad way when they went off
Agree that I would go with Podence instead of Trincao at Southampton. Boly and Kilman must play whether it’s 3 or 4 at the back. And Dendoncker will be pushing for a start too

Podence, Dendoncker and Boly all deserve a start. It's a question of who gives way for them. For me it would be Trincao, Moutinho and Saiss

Kane was played onside by Ait Nouri who was out of line with the rest of the defence
