I know some supporters are not happy with the performances so far this season, however just compare the results to this time last year and we can see that we have had a very good start.
Last year:
2 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses - 7 points
This year:
4 wins, 1 draw - 13 points
Don't forget we have had a lot of players make a deep run in summer tournaments. In addition, we are missing Rashford on the left, who I think will do very well when he's back. We have finally got McTominay back, and arguably he's more of a solid DM option than Fred. Cavani still hasn't gotten a game either.
We've also added 3 new starters to our first XI, and the whole team need to adjust and build chemistry, and I have no doubt this will happen in the next couple of weeks.
The first team hardly has had any pre season, but compared to last season, the results are much better so far. Last year after our initial poor start, we did pick it up, and we are now much better placed this season to do the same.
