Sakala looks like exactly the kind of player available to us in our budget. We have the option of going for the Davis, Defoe and McGregors or the Sakala, Bassey, Kent, Aribo types.

If you are confident in your coaching staff you want to work with them and improve them but it doesn't happen overnight sadly. We're not in the same situation where we can go and spend £5m on established players.

Our entire back 5 yesterday cost £2m. Our midfield cost £200k. Our front 3 cost £4m. If you add in the subs who played yesterday our entire 14 cost £6.5m To put that in context Celtic spent about the same on their two left backs alone.

I get the frustration from fans when we have days like yesterday but I think the big picture needs to be looked at sometimes.

Fair points tbh, beating them and their millions on a shoestring.

We've done well getting those types in previously, just a bad batch this year.

This year(so far) not so much
On a more downbeat note they coonts must have a belting window coming up

The only thing about Bacuna I thought was he looks like every other Gerrard midfield signing. Tidy, technically good and nice on the eye but I do think we need to mix it up a bit with different options.

Even when we change it we tend to change it like for like. I thought Itten always gave us something different even if he wasn't the best, games like Saturday I think he would have been off the bench.

We really missed an option like Itten yesterday.

He loved playing Motherwell too....

I have a feeling that Itten will be remembered as an almost Zlatan-esque figure by the end of the season ..... absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that

maybe. Tbh I wasnt a big fan of Itten and dont think he was ever going to be a Rangers first choice centre forward. But he did prove useful in certain games and yesterday would have been one where I think he would have got on especially with Morelos carrying an injury

Agree with this, his subs, or lack of make me want to strangle the sheite out of him

You’d think by now he’d have a good plan b and subs lined up for teams setting up tents in their own box, only happens every other away game
