The Kids Are Alright

A very enjoyable evening at the Etihad.

Some very exciting prospects waiting in the wings plus Foden and KdB look like they're back on the pace.

Special shout out to Adebayo Akinfenwa, must be the heaviest professional footballer out there.

I'm not sure if observing that he gives you nothing is bitterness, Boris

Watched the last 20 minutes of the United game.

West Ham ripped them apart despite having over £250m worth of players on the pitch.

All 11 players cost £7.60 and take a wage of 3 refresher bars a week. The only club to care about Swizzles.

So we don't get to give them the traditional semifinal beating this season. That seems a bit unfair really.

I think it is such a fun competition. Given the ever increasing fixture congestion, I don't think it will survive in the long term. But it gives clubs the opportunity to experiment and bood new players. Teams play with a lot of freedom - and, lets face it - it's not a biggie if you lose. The annual elimination of our much admired neighbours is just the icing on the cake.

I noticed that the "Impossible Dream' banner they have at OT contains portrayals of both the League Cup and the Charity/Community Shield.

Surely that should be replaced with something more in keeping with United's present ambitions.
