There could be some method to the madness, but I can’t see it happening because I think it’s obvious that AWB is a player that Ole relies on.

For all of AWB’s weaknesses, his strengths are important to the team. If you look at the areas in which we win the ball, and the fast transitions that come from them, AWB is a big part of that.

He’s very good at going to engage the opponent, and recovering back into the space he vacates, it’s a risk/reward way of playing that is obviously encouraged. McTominay just isn’t capable of doing this at the same level.
