Managers

Now I can contemplate a new manager being needed, though I really hope Ole turns it around, the question is who.

Conte, No, a definite No.

Zidane. No but not as definite. I think he had a great team when he was winning, rather than him being a great manager.

Potter. Possibly, but the first couple of matches he lost some will be saying he was the wrong appointment, that we should have appointed a 'top' manager.
Personally I would take a chance, he could be Fergie lite for us.

Poch. Probably not possible to get him. I'm in two minds, he is clearly a good coach, but maybe not at the very top a la Klopp or Pep.

Any other suggestions. Not immediately because that won't happen. I would prefer not to have to change, but if we do it will likely be over the summer.

It’s a pity Gary Neville has shown himself to be utterly incompetent as a manager as he could have been the one

Neville is all mouth and no trousers.

We should get klopp, not sure what pidier would do…

as you say this conversation is most likely needed next summer IF Ole fails

Why you want to raise it now?

If I was the club I’d go for Ten Hag. I wanted nigelsman but that’s impossible now. But ten hag is a significant upgrade on Ole and actually can coach. He take with him significantly better coaches also who can make a team play well with 1/10th if the budget Ole has. No excuses for united imho
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Any Ajax connection won't succeed at Utd, it would require the same but failed approach Van Gaal wanted to instil. We are not a club that focuses on possession and it would require investment to overhaul the squad.

Ole has done well to rid the squad of remnants of failed regimes and it would be unwise to undo that good work

We need someone to come in and make use of the core squad and further remove the remaining dead wood.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Except that this is looking like being another failed regirme with deadwood to clear out
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have to disagree on Ole's recruitment, by and large it's been a success. The squad overhaul is incomplete, it would need another 2 windows to rid players recruited under previous regimes.

That is one aspect Ole has been a great success at. Maybe long term he could move up stairs and work alone side Murtough in a DOF capacity.

As a manager of a footy team though he is sorely out of his depth.

Today I am calm. In half an hour we are off to friends, and will have a good meal, with good wine and good conversation. No football, few French are fans.

Rooney the glazers are smart, because they know many of the fan base are sentimental and a bit stupid and what they have done is put Ole between themselves and the fans, so then they can’t shout as loud about how rubbish we perform. Very easy for them to keep him in. He shelters them

----------------------------------------------------------------------
idiots like you accused fergie of something similar

Good grief, UWW calling fans stupid. You're the dunce of the board, followed by Ron and Rooney. You all just say the same thing over and over.
No analysis, insight, wit, nothing. It's why people laugh at you, not because you don't rate Ole, but because of your dreadful postd

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's be honest 52 there a few more to add to the list that those you mention
