The difference between the two players in terms of conviction and ability to take the game by the scruff off the neck is night and day . Whilst Pepe is the worst player arsenal have signed in the premier league era when it comes to ball retention, Zaha’s main strength is keeping the ball whilst still being adventurous and forward thinking. Zaha actually is a pretty decent goal scorer coupled with the ability to take players on while Pepe scores pointless goals and barely gets out of singe figures for a season .
Pepes main weakness though is the pressure he invites when backs are against the wall . Almost a nonchalant acceptance from him that he is going to lose the ball whenever he attempts anything. He kills attacks at key moments
It was heavily insinuated that the Pepe signing was a corrupt financially motivated action by one who has now departed. Did those investigations ever provide concrete evidence….. as someone has had us over a barrel and heads should roll

Pepe isn't getting any better. It's now third season and he didn't improve very much.

Saka hasn't been great this season also especially against the press.
When I see players like Salah, it does make you think of the levels

People forget that Saka is still learning and very young. Compare Salah and Saka at same age and tell me who's better. Atm Salah is best player in league.

Saka has been really poor this season bar the spurs game.
Pepe vs Zaha is no contest as Zaha for us would have absolutely smashed it for us.

Pepe hasn't lived up to the hype but if you look at Zaha's numbers they really aren't that much better. It's a case of a big fish in a small pond. If he was that top player some people thought he was his performances would of demanded a top club pay the money that Palace wanted for him but its never happened. Decent player but a lot of hype around him.

If the last few years is anything to go by there isn't much difference playing for Palace and Arsenal certainly from an attacking point of view.

Pepe is gash but I don't see the fuss about Zaha either to be honest.
I doubt we'd be any better off.
