Harry Maguire new contract

Maguire who is 2 and bit years into his 6 year contract is set to be offered a an improved contract which will see him stay at the club for the next 5 years.

His pay will be considerably increased from his current rate of 189,000£ a week.

What in the blue hell is this mess?

He has 3 years left AFTER this season finishes and will be 29. We now want to make him even higher paid and guarantee him earning that until he is 34.

Just when you think the back office has its act together they go and give phelan a bizarre extension and now for no real reason whatsoever extend and improve Maguires already lucrative and lengthy contract.

a shame that yet another thread this time about Maguire has to be derailed by the Ole Out agenda

Part of the Op is related to strange decisions the club makes and one for me is extending Ole’s contract for four years would not one or two have been sufficient as clearly he still has an awful lot to prove maximising the potential of a vastly expensive squad.

Tuchel ‘s contract was extended three years but he just won the champions league and is far more likely to be poached than Ole, his salary was 7 million a year but he is an elite manager, most of our back room staff apart from Phelan are novices at this level like the manager learning on the job so presently I would say lucrative extensions are unnecessary while they prove if deserved, not Ole out as it’s a pointless statement he won’t be going anywhere this season no matter what happens and he may well go off on one of his winning runs while the fixture list looks daunting who knows.

Guess what Frank?. We know!

Christ and how we know!

You are again, asking the wrong people why Man United have given Ole a 4 year contract to give you definantive answers. I would hazzard a guess that they think he is their man for the job.

You probably need to write a letter to MUFC and ask the powers that be why they have done this and how it upsets you so much. Maybe they will reply. Ive written to MUFC before and got an adequate reply.

Next up, announcement of contract extensions for Lingard, Mata, Matic and Jones again as they need full time employee in the treatment room.

Probably just newspaper gossip

If people could take their hate tinted glasses off for a moment, it actually makes sense. He’s the captain and one of the clubs biggest assets. Why wouldn’t the club tie him down to an improved contract? The length of his current deal is irrelevant. The club made the mistake of allowing Pogba and his agent dictate contract negotiations and now they’re being proactive.

Sigh, Maguire is not that great and mostly a liability due to his terrible pace and mobility.

Get him out, don't give him a blooming contract

That's no way to talk about a Cat 1 world class player like Maguire

What next? Fred to get an improved 5 year contract with a guarantee to be never dropped to the bench?
