I went to see NTTD at The Trafford Centre on Saturday, after loads of work colleagues told me how good it was. Anyway it is indeed quite a good film but it's not great in my opinion. In fact, it's far from great. Malek as the villain isn't intimidating at all and just comes across as a monotone weirdo and at times I was left wondering just what the threat level from him and his organisation really was. No spoilers in case people haven't seen it, but to be fair it is worth a watch as some of the stunts are ridiculous and it looks great on a big screen.
In the lead up to the film I read and saw some reviews online from people who saw the film early (I was busy) at press screenings and absolutely everyone was hailing Daniel Craig as the GOAT of the Bond movies. After watching NTTD I went back and watched Casino Royale and then Skyfall (skipped Quantum Of Solace because it's sh1yte) just to see if perhaps I had missed something, as I have never really loved Craig as 007.
For me, and I don't know what it is, I just don't feel 'sold' on Daniel Craig as Bond. No it isn't the blue eyes and blonde hair, it's something else and I just don't quite know what. I've seen Spectre and I will probably watch that again at some point but I really have to say I don't rate him as the No.1 James Bond. Moore, Connery and Brosnan were all better than him as 007 for me.
Does anyone else think Craig is the GOAT, or am I right?
I just don't 'buy' Daniel Craig as James Bond and I can't figure out why!!

That is because he is good at it. Like Gary Oldman, Jeremy Irons, Alan Rickman etc. they don’t have to act they just do it.
