When that goal went in after a minute and a half, I absolutely soiled myself on the match thread🤣
Romero, NDombele and Royal took the brunt. All three were shocking for the goal.

30 seconds later he scored. Now I was probably over the top and he definitely played well today - took his goal really well.
But… he needs to do it consistently and against decent teams. It’s all well and good showing off against relegation-fodder (and I do hope they get relegated as it would be hilarious) but he needs to do it against better teams and he needs to control games and take more responsibility. Mind you, he wanted to leave.
Romero is far too casual and if that goal had been for a Top6 team, we would’ve lost that match as we almost let in another about 2 mins later.
I thought Reggie was really good.
Skipp is really maturing and there were signs he was looking forward more quickly to get us moving - more please.
The front three played well but should’ve got a couple more goals today.
So anyway - sorry Tanguy, you played well today. Let’s see it next game as well.
But I do still hate seeing you poncing about and losing the ball🤣 just try and donit less please.

Skip is a good player as he keeps things simple but I’d like a player in that position that’s brave and talented enough to always look to play a forward pass. He’s industrious but unambitious with his passing at the moment. He’s no Michael Carrick, that’s for sure. To me you’re either a Rolls Royce like Carrick in that position or you’re a workhorse like Kante, who, to be fair, has both attributes. I don’t think Skipp will ever be that but he’s decent enough.

Thought it was Kane's best game today. Finally got his goal and had some nice play further down the pitch.
Shame about the second half. Took the polish off the performance.

Am I right in thinking that we made no subs today??
Good to see Tanguy lasting 90. Again though, against a decent side , he just fades out of a game.
He played quite wide a lot and caused problems moving coming inside with the ball.

Ndombele is very much a luxury player you need to have all the right players around him, not sure he will be as effective against top sides

His fitness/injuries haven’t been the best but he’s always been good when he’s been able to play.
His issue is, he isn’t the most tactically disciplined, doesn’t have obscene stamina and his defensive output is average - meaning he doesn’t suit every system. Which isn’t really his fault.
