If the right action is taken at the right time we could still salvage our season and maybe win a trophy on the way. But it is imperative that we need a new manager by next week or two else we could be out of both the league and CL.
For that folks need to accept that the current manager and his staff is not up to the mark and we need to upgrade. We are like a brand new Apple or Samsung phone running on 2015 software. As it stands we are 5 points from top (with the easiest run in compared to our rivals) and if we lose our next CL game we would need to win the remaining group fixtures to progress.
Let's look at this way. Ole is gone one way or another. Its just a matter of time when. Do we want to keep our hands folded and wait till December/ January for a new manager? By that time we would be definitely out of CL as well as out of the race for top 4 in PL.
By getting a new manager (preferably Zidane or worse case Conte) we are ensuring we still remain in the hunt for the title which can probably go till the last day whilst also being in the CL. I have no confidence that Ole will get us out of the CL group stages. He has lost 7 out of 11 CL games with losses to minnows like Istanbul Badasswhatever and Young Boys. Zidane being a very good cup manager we can definitely progress into the last stages of the CL and with Ronaldo at the helm who knows we could even win the competition.
The media narrative has changed in the last couple of days. Even journalists close to United have started questioning our current management and leaking media reports that all is not well. This is a similar time when Frank Lampard was sacked last year and Chelsea reached the finals of FA cup and won the CL.
We need to act fast and now. My favorites for the next manager are
1) Zidane
2) Marcelo Gallado
3) Conte
Ole out!!

The solution is quite simple. Find the best manager possible and give them time and money, but review after 2 seasons. We haven’t done that since SAF left.

Indeed it is but we got Bruno mid season a couple of years back and if, say Conte took over in November and said he needed a CM in Jan for us to compete it’s not an impossible ask.
And as I said in the part of my comment you conveniently ignored, there’s every chance that Conte (or whoever) doesn’t make the same tactical mistakes with his midfield selection that Ole weirdly makes. I don’t for one second think we have a world class selection of midfielders but I’m certain we can set up a lot better to get the best out of them.
