Daley Blind

Still has almost as much game time for united this season as Donny.

He would be better than anyone we currently have at DM.
He had a brain and a great pass.

I never understood why he didn't get a proper chance to replace Carrick. He seemed the closest thing to Carrick that we had.

He's got an assist now, to go with the goal.

Never thought he was any good when he did play in midfield, was always better in defence. That’s where he plays for Ajax and the Netherlands as well. I get why he wanted to leave, but in hindsight bringing in Bailly and Lindelof wasn’t really worth it when we had Blind.

Blind was neither tall nor fast enough to get through his Mourinho audition.

But the weird thing is he done well under Mourinho. It’s not like we were playing a high line and he was getting exposed for pace, or regularly bullied in the air.

Think that was back in the Van Gaal days. In Mourinho’s first few games, we had Blind and Bailly at CB and they looked promising. Can’t remember how long it lasted but once Blind fell out of the starting XI he struggled to get back in.
