As others have already suggested, I'd use this as an opportunity to play a 4-3-3. It's a better fit for most of our squad, and the only reason to play a 4-2-3-1 formation is that Bruno is so unusually productive as a 10. Pogba doesn't need to play as a 10 - I think he's more effective playing slightly deeper but freed of the restrictive responsibilities of playing in a double pivot.

Would be interested to see Matic, Pogba and Beekers! in a midfield three.

Neither Pogba or Beekers! are particularly slow. Having a proper three also means that Matic isn''t stretched, so doesn't need to cover as much ground, his positional sense is usually very good.

Our approach v Liverpool will be interesting I think.

On one hand we need to be solid defensively so I could see us sitting back. On the other hand though that leaves us open to one mistake being a killer.

For Sunday I wouldn't mind us mixing it up a bit and playing more balls than usual down the channels. Play Cavani and Rashford wide and force them back a bit especially their full backs. The a solid three in midfield (Bruno dropping a little deeper if he's fit) with instructions to keep it simple. Brentford caused Liverpool problems so, with all due respect, so should we.

Its likely Liverpool beat us, so we should play on the front foot and go for it.
