Pointy is spot on what the stamping works done, my dad was welder.

My grandfather worked the big hammer, was the biggest in Scotland, could here it a few miles,away.

Made him deaf eventually.

Mags is a good chap, I sure he wouldn't mind stepping aside and giving it to my father.

He passed away on October 15 aged 83.

Was in a nursing home, caught a bad urine infection which swept through his body ending up in sepsis.
Had a good life, was in the Royal Air force and worked in ayr stamping works for 45 years.

Just read this puyol. My sincere condolences but hopefully you find some solace in remembering his long and I’m sure fruitful life and the daftness that passes for humour among us on here.
