Wenger & Ferguson

When Arsene Wenger was the Arsenal Manager, for his 1st 10 years, the Gunners were the cream of the crop, Similarly, when Alec Ferguson was United's manager, they shared top spot with Arsenal. However. since they both retired/stood down from the football scene, both teams have gone down the pan somewhat. I'm afraid I think Arsenal's predicament is the most dire out of the two. Arteta not my choice. Those 3 managers of Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool are all vastly experienced and successful with their previous clubs. Is that where Arsenal should be looking at?

Those 3 managers were given time perhaps, but they were vastly experienced and very successful in their previous club's as I mentioned in the article. Ole and Arteta were none of those things. Neither were experienced or successful. Both starting from scratch so to speak. That's my point

No OP, Arsenal were first in incremental decline over the years, then terminal decline under Wenger, it got to the point where he couldn't win away league games and the situation was desperate.

Despite Utd's current problems they will always be in a better position than Arsenal whilst they have significantly more income - which is clearly the case.
