We were all pretty much told that he was promised more game time this season by this manager who literally stepped in to block a potential move to Everton for him.
But for him then to be basically casted away from the team so far this season while utterly rubbish players like Fred and McTominay get to play every week is totally ridiculous and unfair , and I believe it's well beyond any footballing reasons.
The lad is obviously a talent. We saw how good he was at Ajax. In fact , I have this weird feeling that 3 or 4 seasons from now , Donny Van de Beek will be tearing it up at another club with better players around him and we'll be left wondering how the hell couldn't he get into this United team.
There's no question in my mind that you put him in City's , Liverpool's or Chelsea's midfield and you will be watching a world class player.
Kevin de Bruyne and Mo Salah are a perfect example of this. Not really given much of a look at Chelsea early on in their PL careers , but we always knew there was great potential there. And look at them now.
An actual football manager like Zidane and many others out there would absolutely love to have a player like Van de Beek whom they can develop and mold him into the outstanding midfielder they want.
Unfortunately Man United do not have a football manager at the moment.

Did you see him at Ajax? The guy is a special player if used right and he will show that once you get a proper coach in and/or he goes elsewhere.

The handful i've times I watched Ajax, he plays in AMF. He's not better than Bruno. Simple.
This is where the whole argument falls flat, people want him as a traditional CM assuming he can play well there, with almost zero evidence.

In big games that's certainly debatable, even more so now given Bruno's form this season.
His goals against Juventus, Chelsea and Spurs alone trump anything Bruno has ever done in the crunch games.

McT, Bruno and Pogba are nowhere near good enough for quite some time and need to be dropped first.

--I remember seeing an article about Ole "promising to give Donnie more playing time" but I cannot remember where, but Bruno could use a break, and Ole burned him out last year by playing him twice a week. I'd like to see more squad rotation, because the same 7-8 lads are playing every match. That's one of my beefs with Ole. Donnie needs to play or we need to do the right thing and let him leave. It's wrong to keep a player rotting on a bench (i.e. Romero and Henderson) Bruno started brightly this season, but since Ronnie returned - he's off-kilter. I think Donnie should start a few matches. What's the worse that could happen?
