Walter Smith has sadly passed away. He had a brief stint with us and was credited with getting Ronaldo to be more productive, by stopping punishment for fouls during training.
May he rest in peace

Football has lost one of its true greats.
A legend of the game who's reputation within it was at the very very top. Despite all the success, despite all the accolades at rangers he was a greater human being.
This world is a lesser place without him and a tear is being shed for possibly my biggest ever hero.
My gaffer
RIP Sir Walter Smith 1948-2022

Sad news.
Always seemed like a decent fella and I rated him as a manager too

Sad news. When growing up his Rangers side were superb and I remember them nearly going all the way in 92/93. Great mates with SAF. RIP 🌹

Also made it to uefa final, even with players like Chritian Dailly and Kirk Broadfoot !!

The comments beneath the MUFC tweet about this are a disgrace.
