Maybe Ole thought henwas worth keeping for the sake of the fee we would have got in the Summer.

PSG have done the same with Mbappe.

Keeping or releasing Pogba would probably be a business decision than a footballing one. He's never replicated his Juventus or France form for us consistently. I do think there must be a replacement for him. Our scouts seem to have not chosen to look deeper than the first teams of clubs playing in top leagues of Europe.

Real Madrid could put together a great side in 2022 for low transfer fees

Mbappe - Free
Pogba - Free
Haaland - €70 million

Mbappe and Pogba? That's a full time job just managing those two. Some players are jut more trouble than they are worth.

Quite frankly all the time you have ole at the wheel and Pogba in midfield you are not being taken seriously

I actually do think pogba with the right team around him is a good player - utd have rarely if ever had the right team around him compared to France and Juve.

It's also the style of English football that doesn't suit him. He can be a great player when given time to pick passes and dictate a game. But if the opposition press and close him down quickly, he can very quickly become THEIR best player.

We saw it for the 5th goal on Sunday and we saw it on no less than 5 or 6 occasions against Leicester.

Yes Pogba can look decent if he plays in a completely dominant team against inferior opposition.

France don’t always have either.

There is no wisdom in their transfer dealings. Lingard is the classic example. Drive his value down so you can't sell him. Get him a loan where his value increases and he is a wanted player. Refuse to sell him and say you need him. Then don't really play him. Lose him on a free in the summer.

That's very well put and does sort of sum.it up.
