Good to see just a couple of changes, a change to give match fitness to Forshaw, experience to Drameh and fingers crossed we could do something.
I thought we were ok in first half, but never really threatening and if you're looking to go win the game, taking you're two most expensive forward players off, is not going to install fear into the opposition.
Pundits were raving about Drameh afterwards, I don't think he really did that much of note to be honest and Greenwood and Summerville had very little time and made very little impact.
Gelhardt also did little in the limited time he had open pitch.
I think that we have to be careful with these young players. They're only there because of how threadbare the squad is, they have little first team experience and I'm really not sure if they make the step up and should be starting as some are clamouring for.
What is a genuine concern though is that Rodrigo and James get subbed off secure they are having little impact. Apart from James half chance he had one great chance through middle but made wrong decision to pass to Roberts, whom, I'm really hoping we upgrade in the summer, because it feels as if he is a passenger in this side.
Disappointed we went out, but a top side away from home was never going to be easy.
Massive game on Sunday now, we need a reaction!

I really enjoyed the first half. Forshaw and KP worked well together, filling that gap in midfield and moving the ball quickly forward. Just no incisiveness around the box, though. DJ should be charged with criminal neglect of Rod.

Played ok first half but nothing compared to last season. Look a bit disjointed and down on confidence, no spark in the side. The kids I thought all looked miles off first team level. Cant really say anyone played that well last night. Back on track against Norwich hopefully, its a must win for us

Midfield is absolutely terrible. I can't work out if Klich is badly off form or was just never good enough.
Llorente was our best player. From an attacking point of view and a defensive one. The Cooper sub was a strange one. Why not give Cresswell some minutes instead.

We are miles away from where we finished last season, we look a different team and the high energy pressing, attacking play has gone.
Bamford's is crucial, we have no one running the channels and taking defenders out of play, plus his goal threat. Rodrigo is a massive let down.
We need our two main threats back for Norwich, who will be looking for a serious reaction to their spanking at the weekend.

Surely you'll beat Norwich. Their players are not as good and the way they play is made for you.

Too many players under performing this season. Some may be over the hill. A genuine lack of quality and an abundance of poor passing and wrong decision making. We still have the majority of possession in games but nearly all backward passes.
Totally out pressed and out played in most games this year so far. Midfield needs beefing up and we desperately need more quality. Leeds a shadow of what they were last season, hopefully we strengthen in January. As it stands I think we are good enough to stay up. But this team is carrying too many passengers week in week out.

I know we have exhausted the point of view that Alioski has been a big loss but although he had defensive flaws the attacking options he gave us set the tempo for the whole side and invariably meant although we conceded a few we made far more chances than we have this season and scored loads more.
However he has gone and we need someone in that position with more attacking ability than Dallas and when Firpo is fit we need to see a big improvement in his performances which to be fair he started to achieve just before getting injured.
Therefore until Firpo is back we need to put a much quicker player at LB than Dallas and so I would like to see Bielsa address this problem even if it means switching Shacks to LB and playing Drameh at RB until Ayling returns.
Can Cresswell play at RB or LB or Heljda I don't know but we certainly look less threatening going forward this season because we relied so heavily on Ayling and Alioski bombing forward which made us so entertaining
and scared the brown stuff out of the opposition.

Norwich won't have a better chance to win a game all season, they'll be desperate to bounce back after losing 7 nil and they know they have a good record against us. Its hard to say we'll lose to them but it's probably not going to be easy or pretty for us. They held Burnley and Brighton before Chelsea so they won't be a pushover for the lesser teams.

And after investments in the defense and wingers/forwards I think we invest in the midfield and we will start to see the fading out of dallas and klitch
