Where would we be now had we played the 352 all season I wonder? We'd definitely have more PTS than now I believe. It's not the perfect formation by any means and it does mean we have to leave out some big names but it definitely masks many of our weaknesses in the team more.
With Ronaldo and Cavani upfront (or Rashford and Greenwood in there too) with Bruno just behind we will always score goals as they are all good finishers. Maybe the solution has been starting us in the face all along. Maybe we are just more suited to being a more counter based team.
Whenever we play the 4231, no matter if it's against a top 6 or a bottom 6 team, we never seem to have control of the game. That formation seems to have been sussed out. I don't want to go back to that again as we know it doesn't work.
What this means for Sancho I have no idea. But I put results before individuals and if we have to play 4231 to accommodate him then I'd rather not bother. If we find some form and get back in the race and he is sitting out then so be it.
I do feel Wan Bissaka needs to improve a lot though to be able to play that RWB role. He did well at the weekend but going forwards I have my doubts still. Be perfect if Sancho could play that role but I dont think he could.
3pts off 3rd and we've been a mess

I have to say there’s a certain irony in Solskjaer going to a back 3 system fielding 8 defensive players and a strike force with a combined age of 70 in the week Antonio Conte has been called unsuitable for the job because he’d apparently do that very same thing.

Oh yeah. Totally.
I suggested we go 352 some time agao and the board experts mocked the suggestion. I bet they have / will change their tune now

The expectations under both Van Gaal and Mourinho were winning the league title AND playing scintillating attacking football.
Ole Glazer, 3 years into the job with no trophies, is being revered for his first league win in 7 weeks using 7 defensive players against an awful Spurs.
The damage he's caused is borderline irreparable. The standards the fans now have are that of a newly-promoted club's supporters, where they don't expect to win a lot of matches so go overboard with the celebrations whenever United do end up winning.....

Any United fan who's taken the realisation that Spurs have more ambition than United lying down are a Glazer puppet, I'd love to hear anyone try and explain otherwise.

Do you honestly think Ole becomes United manager under even mildly ambitious owners? (let alone survives all this)
Back him and you're by default backing The Glazers..

We deserved to beat Villa, Everton and Southampton. We just conceded a sucker punch goal to Everton and we missed so many sitters at Southampton it was hard to believe and we conceded a freakish goal. Villa game the players should have been fined a weeks wages for missing that many chances.

Then explain how else supporting someone who's only here because of The Glazers isn't indirectly backing them?
We keep hearing how fans want them out but will keep lining their pockets (by attending games and buying merchandise) and backing managers/ players that would be gone under had Liverpool's ownership let alone United or Chelsea's.
